July 31 – Aug 1, 2017 | A quick stop in Bratislava gave us just enough time to soak in the Slovakian sunshine.
Our short stay in Bratislava was great! There were several main things to see, such as some churches and castles, so we took care of most of those things the first afternoon after we arrived. Bratislava was much smaller than Vienna, so it was more manageable for a 20-hour stay in town.
We did enjoy some Slovak cuisine for dinner: potato dumplings! Delicious.
We had a few hours to burn the next morning, so we grabbed breakfast and then walked past “The Blue Church” and across a bridge for a view of the city over the Danube River.
Before we knew it, it was time to head to the bus station. Budapest next!
